Mission
The Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and protection of the natural, unpolluted habitats along the Nissitissit River and its surrounding lands.
Aims
The primary aim of the Trust is to acquire or assist other organizations in acquiring land or land rights along the Nissitissit River in order to keep the river's banks and stream bed in a continuing undeveloped condition in so far as possible.
1. To keep the waters of the Nissitissit unpolluted and clear-running.
2. To preserve natural habitats in the marshes and along the river for fish and wildlife and to provide a permanent green open space in Brookline and Hollis, New Hampshire and Pepperell, Massachusetts.
3. Provide canoe launches and maintain foot trails for public use.
4. Provide forest management and research areas as examples for small woodlot owners and the interested public as well as working closely with other like-minded and interested state and private organizations to help realize the aims of the Trust.
